The school is named after a 14th century Sufi master, Hazrat Ameer Kabeer Syed Ali Hamadani, popularly known as Shah-e-Hamadan (R.A). He was very influential in spreading Islam from Kashmir, Hazara and Gilgit to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. His arrival in the Kashmir valley not only disseminated the Islamic culture and monotheism among Muslims but raised their political, social and economic paradigms as well. Shah-e-Hamadan, besides being a mystic saint and an effective preacher, was a man of letters and wrote about a hundred pamphlets in Arabic and Persian.
Shah-e-Hamadan Public High School Naushera was established in 1993 by Prof. Syed Ahmad Saeed Hamadani. Nourished and guided by competent teachers under his leadership, over the 26 years, this school has evolved and shaped into an esteemed institution as it is today. Haji Noor Muhammad Malik (late) worked as a Principal and V. Principal of the school until he died on Jan 18, 2009. He was a very experienced teacher and administrator and he was also one of the pioneers of the school. In 2003, matriculation examination was held for the first batch of class 10. All students passed science subjects in first division with distinction and by the grace of Allah, that standard still persists. In 2016, Habiba Shahid, a student of our school, got overall 2nd position in Matric Examination of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sargodha. Over the years, our school has produced engineers, doctors, teachers, lawyers, government officers and skilled people in many other professions who are serving their country with honour and distinction today. Many students of this school are currently studying in universities like UET (Lahore, Taxila), NUST, COMSATS, QAU, NUMLS (Islamabad), University of Bahawalpur and University of Sargodha.
